Gnome Anne’s Land is so bright and colorful! The cover and illustrations resonate with the cheerful story. Gnome Anne is out gardening when her friend, Gonme Ad (say out loud), comes by, whistling and doing his timetables. They have a polite conversation about where he is going. Then, Gnome Anne gives him a gift that brightens his day. Gnome Ad returns later that day with a lesson that benefits readers.
Where a little grace goes a long way
I enjoyed how the ending circles back to the beginning with a positive end to a happy story. What goes around comes around and doesn’t always need to have a negative connotation to it. In the case of Gnome Anne’s Land, children will learn that doing something for others means paying it forward and that you can benefit from it.
Read all the stories in the Gnome Anne and Friends series
Gnome Anne’s Land is one of four books in a continuing series. Read the titles out loud and see how the creative use of puns plays a role in the thoughtful message behind the story.

Time Waits For Gnome Anne
I can’t wait to share the other stories with my three-year-old. For a child who is learning how to share, this book was a huge help. We had fun discussing and learning about how sharing something, no matter how big or small, can have a lasting effect on someone. The next time he had a hard time working side by side with a kid his own age, I reminded him of Gnome Anne and her friend Gnome Ad, and what I was trying to explain in a moment where he was upset, it clicked for him. I love it when stories are easily remembered, and those in the Gnome Anne and Friends series are exactly that.
I think all toddlers and adults will appreciate Gnome Anne and her group of friends!
