Human or vampire, no one can escape their fate.
Born and raised in the small town of Grundy Hill, West Virginia, Abigail Taylor knew that her life was anything but normal. Everyone in town knew her father was weird and knew better than to date his estranged daughter. On her 21st birthday, Abbi awakens a dark and lethal force more powerful than any witch or warlock has ever seen. With every touch, she drains life from others and inadvertently opens the gates of Hell. With vampires and demons unleashed upon the world, Abbi crosses paths with a 231-year-old vampire playboy named Thomas Barclay.
Barclay and his family holds the keys to Abigail’s destiny. As the Slayer, the only one who can send the demons and vampires back to Hell. As Tom and Abigail begin to fall in love, nefarious vampires and Satan himself conspire to keep them apart and away from their fate.
Highly recommend for the loyal vampire romance readers
The Slayer: Hell Awakens by Meg Sechrest is a book that anyone loyal to the vampire romance will enjoy. Meg does a fantastic job of combining some of the best fantastical beings. The characters a so real and vivid! The first line of the story grabs you in and it is definitely one of those books that you can’t put down. The relationship between the two characters (Abigail and Tom) reminds us of the relationship between Buffy and Angel in the hit TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. If you read a lot of vampire romance, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see the well-known mythology and lore you’ve never encountered before. The picture of hell that Sechrest gives readers is particularly memorable. If you like vampire romance novels that have action and romance, give this series a chance!
